RESTAURANT CAN ROURA:
Can Roura opened in 1958 as a food shop with four tables where the first tourists were served meals. It was the first restaurant in the Plaça de Sant Martí.
Later, in 1962, it officially became a restaurant as well as an inn, and stayed as such until 1993. The house was completely reformed in 1999 and opened in 2000. The decoration retains the rustic style of what used to be a Catalan farmhouse, but incorporating more modern features.

OUR CUISINE
Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine is our starting point, in which you will find good quality fish, such as gilthead bream, turbot in addition to monkfish, Mediterranean hake, Atlantic hake, flounder, red mullet, mackerel, etc. depending on availability, all grilled or traditionally baked, as well as dishes like cod with cream of almonds and prawns, salmon with sunflower seed pesto, dill and tarragon. As far as meat dishes are concerned, we would mention duck breast in port, filet steak with foie gras and reduction of Garnacha, terrine of homemade foie gras as well as other dishes representative of the Mediterranean like couscous with beef and spices, meatballs with cuttlefish or tortelloni with olives, capers, oregano and parmesan, which can be found in the set menus or the à la carte menu. We always offer a good selection of salads and would like to specially mention our home-prepared pickled sardines with escalivada (baked peppers, aubergine and onions) and oil from Pau, or our salad with goat’s cheese in batter with walnuts, strawberries and basil oil, among others.
Our desserts also play a special role, and our priority is that they should taste really homemade.

AREAS:
4 areas, two inside with room for 10 and 12 people, an inside courtyard, open above, which holds 18 people and 4 tables in the Plaça de Sant Martí for 8 people (2+2+4 or 2+6). We do not have a BAR SERVICE.
Tables in all the areas can be booked by phone or in person. We will save tables for up to 20 minutes after the time agreed.
